RULES AND REGULATIONS WITH SUGGESTIONS FOR SATISFACTORY STORAGE

To make your use of our space a smooth and pleasant experience, we have some rules to live by. If everybody abides, our service will be super, your goods will be stored better, and you'll be happier using this self-storage center.

  1. Your rent is due each month on or before the day of the month your rented the unt.    A Late Charge will be imposed if the rent is later than five (5) days. On the 6th late day, access will be denied to the facility, and your unit will be over locked. NO NOTICE is mailed as a reminder for your rent.

  2. You may move out of your space whenever you want. Please refer to your Lease Agreement for the allowed procedure of advance notice to avoid automatically contracting for an additional month's rent. In order that your deposit may be returned (if you have one), you must submit the Notice of Intent to Vacate form in your move in packet to the facility ten (10) days prior to your rent date.

  3. Sorry, but you just cannot store the things we have listed because of the obvious reasons. Here are the No-No's (The right is reserved to inspect all goods upon entry to premises.)

    1. Anything that is stolen. Premises may not be used for any unlawful purpose
    2. No explosives, ammunition or dangerous chemicals.
    3. No inflammables, paint or oily rags.  No used tires.
    4. No improperly packaged spoilable foods.
    5. Anything that is alive and eating.
    6. Anything that leaks or makes loud noise.
    7. No sleeping will be allowed in unit.
    8. No refrigerators or freezers are to be connected to service outlets.
    9. No type of electric heater or heat lamp is to be used in units without prior permission.
    10. No sanding or painting, reconditioning, fixing, or repairing to be done within the unit or facility.
    11. No signs of any kind shall be posted on the leased premises.
    12. No sales out of units and only one lock per unit.
    13. No hazardous chemicals or waste, no 55 gallon drums.
    14. No assigning or subleasing unit by occupant.

    HELPFUL HINTS FOR BETTER STORAGE

    1. Spray furniture with a good polish. Cover with drop cloths, sheeting, etc, whenever possible.
    2. Do not store food items unless sealed in glass or metal containers.
    3. Defrost refrigerators and leave door open.
    4. Seal boxes with masking tape.
      1. It is not advisable to store pianos, grandfather clocks or art objects.
      2. Wrap mattress or box springs with plastic covers, drop cloths or paper. Do not set directly on the floor or lean against walls.
      3. Use boxes, plastic bags or clothing bags for storing clothes.
      4. Keep all items off of floor if possible to let air underneath. Skids or pallets are good for this purpose, or place plastic under all cardboard boxes.
      5. To retard rusting of exposed metal, use a light coat of oil.
    5. We are by contract and by law not responsible for any loss or pilferage from your occupied space. We recommend insurance to cover the value of your goods. Our Manager can tell you how to insure.

PADLOCKS

Make sure to spray them with a lubricant to prevent rusting and freezing up.

INSIDE YOUR UNIT

Make sure all stacked boxes are sturdy and straight so they won’t topple over and you have a mess to deal with when it is freezing cold out there. It is a good idea to leave an air space between the stacked boxes and the storage unit walls to promote good air circulation.

UNWANTED GUESTS

We all know that there are rodents everywhere. Please take precautionary measures to protect your stored items by placing bait traps or moth balls in your unit. Make sure you NEVER store food items, you are just asking for trouble if you do.

CAR STORAGE

It is a smart idea to back your car into the unit. If there comes a day when your battery needs jumped, your engine compartment is up in front of the unit. Also please do not let your car idle inside the unit, dangerous exhaust fumes lingering inside the unit if you do.

HOLIDAYS

We all know the Holidays become expensive. To avoid having to pay unwanted late charges on your Storage unit and denial of access to your Unit, why not prepay up your Rent on Storage NOW to get you thru the end of the year and the Holidays. You may have something in Storage that you may need and cannot get access if your Rent is behind.

WINTER WEATHER

Please be careful if you need to access your Unit during bad winter weather. Especially moving large bulky items from your vehicle into your Unit or from your Unit to your vehicle.
